Worth knowing about Mumbai
- Mumbai airport wifi accepts an international mobile number for the OTP, not just an Indian one, which is unusual in India. If no number can receive the text, an Information Desk or Wi-Fi Kiosk verifies a passport instead.
- The Aqua Line, Line 3, is the first fully underground metro line in Mumbai. It runs 33.5 km with 27 stations from Cuffe Parade in the far south to Aarey JVLR.
- The Terminal 2 metro station opened on 7 October 2024, sits about 30 m below ground and is joined to the terminal by a 100 m footbridge.
- The airport's listed SIM counter is Airtel at Level 2 arrivals in Terminal 2.
- Mumbai Metro opened on 8 June 2014 and had about 101 km in service across four lines by April 2026.
