Common questions

Why publish the slowest countries as well as the fastest?

Because a coverage page that only shows wins is an advertisement, not a measurement. If a country is slow on our networks, the person about to fly there is exactly the person who needs to know, and finding out on arrival is worse for them and worse for us. The slowest list on this page is not an oversight.

What does the tenth percentile actually tell me?

It is the speed in the worst tenth of the day: the crowded station, the stadium exit, the evening in a tourist district. The median tells you what a good moment looks like and the tenth percentile tells you what a bad one looks like, and only one of those decides whether your trip goes smoothly.

Why is a country missing from this table?

Either we do not sell there yet, or fewer than 25 devices have reported from it and we will not publish a number we cannot stand behind. A figure from six sessions is a rumour with a decimal point on it, so those countries stay off the table until the sample is real.
