Features

Twelve features. Nine of them cost nothing.

An Orbislo account is one eSIM profile plus twelve features on top of it. Nine are on by default and cost nothing extra: the profile itself, the wallet, rescue data, network switching, sharing, blocking, the assistant, the price checks and the arrival pack. Three are paid or conditional: a real phone number, itinerary reading beyond the free tier, and the loyalty rate above the base tier. Every line below says which it is.

One page for the whole product, so you can see what you are buying before you read a single buying page.

Why there are twelve and not thirty

Every feature here started as a complaint. Not a workshop, a complaint. Travellers throw away a fifth to a third of the data they buy, so the wallet does not expire. Bank codes do not arrive on a data only eSIM, so there is a real number you can rent. The support bot that tells you why you have no internet needs the internet, so the assistant answers offline. A feature that cannot be traced back to something that went wrong for a real person does not get built and does not get a page.

That is also why the list is short. Twelve pages is twelve things we are willing to be measured on. A longer list would be easier to write and harder to keep honest, and every extra feature is another sentence somebody has to check before a page ships.

The whole list, in one place

Each line says what the feature does and who it is for. Follow the name for the full page, which carries the numbers, the failure modes and the questions people actually ask.

Read these four before you buy

If you are deciding whether to buy at all, four of the twelve decide it. The profile decides how much work the first trip is. The wallet decides how much of your money survives the trip you did not take. The price checks decide whether you are paying our best answer or our most profitable one. And the network switching decides what happens on the afternoon the carrier you landed on falls over.

The other eight matter after you have bought. That is not a criticism of them. Rescue data is worthless until the night you are stranded with an empty balance, and then it is the only feature on the list you care about.

What is included and what is not

We would rather write this down than have you find it at checkout. Nine features are on every account from the first purchase, with no tier, no upsell and no trial. Three are not.

A phone number is rented monthly, because a number is rented from a carrier monthly and pretending otherwise would mean pricing it into everyone's data. Itinerary reading is free for one connected calendar and a handful of routes a month, and paid above that, because reading a route costs us a lookup against every country on it. And the loyalty rate rises with what you have spent over a rolling twelve months, which means the top rate is not included by definition.

  • Included on every account with no extra charge: the profile, the wallet, rescue data, network switching, sharing, blocking, the assistant, the price checks, the arrival pack.
  • Paid or conditional: the phone number, itinerary reading above the free tier, the loyalty rate above the base tier.
  • Nothing on this page is a trial that turns into a bill without you agreeing to it.

Where this list is weaker than it sounds

Two honest caveats. Network switching needs more than one carrier to switch to, and there are countries in our coverage list where only one network is available to us. On those the feature does nothing at all, and the coverage page for that country says so by name rather than hiding it here. The offline assistant is a compiled search index plus a model when a connection exists. With no signal it can find the right written answer and it cannot reason about your specific account. That is a genuinely smaller thing than the marketing word assistant suggests, so the page for it leads with the limit rather than the promise.

Questions about the feature list

Do I have to turn any of these on?
No. The nine included features are active from your first purchase. Blocking and network switching run in the background with no setting to find, and the assistant and the arrival pack download themselves the first time you open the app on a connection.
Which feature saves the most money?
The wallet, by a distance, because it removes the expiry that makes you throw away data you paid for. Blocking is second, since less data used is less data bought. The price checks are third and are the only one of the three that can end with us telling you to buy from somebody else.
Do these work on every phone?
Everything except the phone number works on any eSIM capable handset. The number needs a device that will hold two active profiles at once, which most recent iPhones and flagship Android phones do and many mid range Android phones do not. The device pages list this per model.
Are the features different on a country plan and a global plan?
No. The features belong to the account, not to the plan, so the same twelve apply whether your balance came from a country pack, a regional pack or the global one. The only thing a plan changes is where the data works.
What happens to the paid features if I stop paying?
They stop and nothing else does. Cancelling a number releases the number and leaves your balance, your history and the other eleven features exactly as they were. Data you have already bought is yours whatever else you cancel.
Where do the numbers on these pages come from?
Speeds and switch times come from traveller devices under the sampling rules on the method page. Competitor figures come from third party testing and carry the date they were checked. Anything we cannot source we do not print.

Start with where you are going

The features are the same wherever you land. The only thing left to choose is the country and the amount.
