What you are actually buying for Asia

You are buying wallet balance, not a Asia bundle. The gigabytes sit in one account and work in all 26 countries listed on this page, and in 145 countries in total. There is no regional product to switch on at the border.

That matters on the second country. A country pack stops at the border it was sold for, so a run through three Asia countries is three purchases and three installs. One balance is one of each.

Speed across Asia, measured

The median in Asia is 44 Mbps, taken across 26 countries and 17,579 traveller samples. It is the middle country rather than an average, so one fast market cannot lift it.

Singapore is the fastest here at 119 Mbps. Nepal is the slowest at 21 Mbps. The tenth percentile across the region is 10 Mbps, and that is the number worth planning around, because it is roughly what a crowded station or a thick hotel wall gives you.

12 of the 26 countries are 4G only in our measurements. 4G carries maps, messaging and a video call. It does not carry four people tethering off one phone at the same time.

We reach 47 host networks in Asia, Beeline, Ooredoo and Smart among them. 0 of the 26 countries run on a single host network, and in those a failed attach cannot be fixed by switching network. A reboot, or walking two streets, is the whole toolkit.

The cheapest country pack in Asia is Hong Kong at $9.89. The dearest is Maldives at $85.89. That spread is wholesale and not markup. Where a market costs us more it costs you more, and we would rather say so than average it away.

What is not in the Asia list

Every country we sell in Asia is on this page. If one is missing we do not have a pack for it, and the 100 MB a month of free rescue data is all you will have on the ground there.

We list 145 destinations worldwide. Airalo lists 169, Saily 121 and Holafly 113. On raw country count we lose to Airalo, and if the country you need is not below, they are the better buy for that trip. A rival single trip ticket for 10 GB was $29.89, checked 2026-08-24, against $16.89 for the same 10 GB here with no end date.

Crossing borders inside Asia

The eSIM does not care about the border. It is installed, the balance is there, and nothing needs buying again. What changes is the host network, and after a land crossing that can take a minute or two while the phone lets go of the old one.

If it has not attached after two minutes, turn airplane mode on for ten seconds and off again. If it still has not, set network selection to manual and pick another network from the list. Support answers in under 60 seconds, 24 hours a day, and that is the first thing they will ask you to try.
