Worth knowing about Phnom Penh
- Phnom Penh changed airports in September 2025. The old Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH/VDPP) stopped handling passengers on 8 September 2025 and everything moved to Techo (KTI/VDTI) the next day, so any guide, map or booking that still says PNH is out of date.
- Techo sits about 19 km south of Phnom Penh in Kandal Province, not inside the city a much longer transfer than the old in-city airport it replaced.
- The Airport Express Bus runs daily 05:30 23:30 between Kouch Kanong Circle Bus Station and the airport via Monivong Boulevard and the Morodok Techo Flyover, stopping at Canadia Garden (Royal Cambodian Railways), the Royal University of Law and Economics, Bred Bank and AEON Mall Mean Chey. Outside those hours there is no public bus.
- There is no rail or metro link to Techo. Light rail and metro connections to central Phnom Penh are only proposals at this stage.
