Astana Light Metro (Tarlan Astana) runs 1 lines. It opened in 2026. The operator does not publish whether the tunnels carry a mobile signal, so we do not claim either way.
Worth knowing about Astana
- Astana's light metro opened on 16 May 2026: 18 stations over 22.4 km, running elevated from Nurly Zhol railway station to the airport. It was renamed Tarlan Astana on 2 July 2026.
- Kazakhstan abolished its second time zone on 1 March 2024, moving the whole country to UTC+5 with no daylight saving, so older schedules can be an hour out.
