- Iceland has no public railway system, so there is no train from either airport. The 50 km from Keflavik to Reykjavik is covered on Route 41, a dual carriageway.
- Keflavik takes only international flights. Every domestic service uses Reykjavik Airport, which is 2 km from the city centre in the Vatnsmyri area.
